Canon PowerShot G1 X
image of the Canon PowerShot G1 X digital camera Once in a while, a camera comes along with a genuinely different approach to its rivals. Some go on to fundamentally change the market; others aren't quite so successful. Either way, we welcome out-of-the-box designs like the PowerShot G1 X, the first Canon large-sensor compact. The G1 X retains a worthwhile size advantage over mirrorless models, and boasts a night-and-day image quality advantage over small-sensor cameras, but there are a a few rough edges. Will they outweigh its advantages? To find out, read our Canon G1 X review!

Canon PowerShot SX150 IS
image of the Canon PowerShot SX150 IS digital camera The Canon SX150 shows just how much capability you can get in an inexpensive digital camera these days. It's not without its limitations, but for the price is quite a bargain. (Especially if you can pick it up for the $149 price we've seen here and there around the web.) Pentax Q
image of the Pentax Q digital camera The Pentax Q polarizes opinion like no other digital camera. Some love its incredibly compact design: among system cameras, the Q's in a class of its own. Others decry its smaller-than-average image sensor, and the limitations that brings. Both camps have a point: while the Pentax Q fulfils on the portability promise of mirrorless like no other, Pentax definitely had to make some significant sacrifices to achieve a body this small. The question we faced in reviewing the Pentax Q: are the tradeoffs worthwhile, or has Pentax taken a step too far? Read our Pentax Q review, and find out!

Fujifilm X-Pro1
image of the Fujifilm X-Pro1 digital camera Fujifilm hit the nail on the head with a digital camera nearly solid enough to drive a nail, and image quality that's tack-sharp deep into the high-ISO range. We appreciated its tight build, smart control layout, and no-nonsense feature set. We wish we could trust the gorgeous hybrid optical viewfinder a bit more, but at least it errs on the side of including more rather than cutting out essential elements. Click here for more on why we enjoyed the Fujifilm X-Pro1 so much.
