Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 Design

Roll-over the various controls and features with your mouse for a brief description.

Panasonic G1 Front View
The Panasonic Lumix G1 has a familiar design similar to a compact SLR, but the lack of a mirror box and optical viewfinder means it technically isn't an SLR at all.

Panasonic G1 Left View
(Shown here with the compact 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 image-stabilized G-series kit lens.)

Panasonic G1 Right View
Note the nice divot for the middle finger in the Panasonic G1's grip, and the slanted shutter button. There's also a thumb grip at the back.

Panasonic G1 Top View
A fairly traditional top layout for a compact model here.

Panasonic G1 Back View
Here you see the Panasonic G1's excellent 3.0-inch swivel LCD. Since most of the controls are on the right, both your eye and your thumb can find them easier for quick activation.

Panasonic G1 Bottom View
The metal tripod socket is centered with the lens.
