New features advance image management capabilities for a broad user base

ACDSee is the world's most powerful and popular image management, viewing, enhancing and sharing program. ACDSee 5.0 offers even faster start-up time, faster viewing and browsing of digital images and photos as well as new options that make the program easily configurable to meet the needs of photo hobbyists, amateur photographers and professionals alike.

New features in ACDSee 5.0 that make it even easier to locate and manage images efficiently include:

  • Calendar View - The calendar view enables users to easily search for images taken on selected days, months, or years.
  • Image Grouping - The ability to group images in multiple categories enables users to organize and locate pictures quickly while saving disk space.
  • Interface Customization - ACDSee 5.0 features customizable toolbars and window layouts that enable users to set the interface to meet their individual requirements and speed up their workflow.
The October 1st launch of ACDSee 5.0 follows last year's extremely successful launch of ACDSee 4.0 that resulted in record-breaking sales revenues and product downloads. Volume licensing for ACDSee 5.0 is available and special pricing is offered for five and ten user licenses.

Owners of ACDSee 4.0 can upgrade to ACDSee 5.0 for $34.95 USD or 29.99 Euros. ACDSee 5.0 is currently available in English; other languages and localized upgrade pricing will be available before year-end.

Recommended system requirements for ACDSee 5.0 include: Pentium processor or above, with MS Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0 Service Pack 6, 2000, XP; 64 MB RAM, 40 MB free disk space; 256-color or higher display adapter; and Internet Explorer 4.0.2 or later.
