Eastman Kodak Co. has introduced a new digital camera model without much fanfare at the Photokina 2002 show in Cologne, Germany.

The Kodak EasyShare CX4300 looks very similar to the recently-announced EasyShare CX4200, with minor styling differences and a higher resolution 3.2 megapixel (effective) imager. The effective focal length of the lens is also slightly different, at 36mm vs. 39mm for the CX4200; this is likely due to a slightly different sensor size, and we'd expect that the lens itself is most probably identical. Pricing and availability for the Kodak EasyShare CX4300 have not been announced, but we'd expect the camera will come in slightly above its lower-resolution sibling, which currently has a price-tag of $179.
