Our friends in Holland do it again - this time turning up news from Korean electronics giant Samsung...

The folks at LetsGoDigital.nl, the bilingual Dutch/English website, have posted news of four new digital cameras from Samsung ranging from 2.1 to 4 megapixels. We were aware of one of these and endeavouring to find out more details, but apparently they beat us to the finish line this time. ;)

In brief, the cameras are as follows:
  • Samsung Digimax 230 - 1/2.7" 2.1 megapixel CCD, 3x optical / 2x digital zoom, autofocus, 1.6" TFT LCD, CompactFlash storage (8MB bundled), NTSC / PAL video out
  • Samsung Digimax 340 - 1/1.8" 3.2 megapixel CCD, 3x optical / 2x digital zoom, autofocus, 1.6" TFT LCD, CompactFlash storage (16MB bundled)
  • Samsung Digimax 350SE - 1/1.8" 3.3 megapixel CCD, 3x optical / 2x digital zoom, lens made by Schneider Kreuznach, autofocus, video mode (30-second clips), CompactFlash storage (16MB bundled)
  • Samsung Digimax 410 - 1/1.8" 4 megapixel CCD, 34 - 102mm 3x optical zoom, f/2.6 (wide) / f/4.5 (tele), focusing range is 80cm to infinity or 20 - 80cm in macro mode, has movie capability, CompactFlash storage (16MB bundled)
So - what are you waiting for? Hop on over to LetsGoDigital.nl and look at their images of the cameras. We'll try and get some pictures ourselves, and perhaps some more in-depth specs, during the show...
