Samsung UK has today reannounced the Digimax V4, a digital camera that was first unveiled by the parent company late last month.

Samsung Techwin announced the camera , which features a Schneider Kreuznach Varioplan-branded lens and compatibility with an impressive nine different power sources, at the end of January. Full specifications and product photos for the camera follow.

If you're really interested in the new Digimax, you can actually see numerous documents and photos on the camera, including pictures of its inner workings, as well as the user manual - all from the FCC ID application process at the Federal Communications Commission's website . ;)

SAMSUNG TO INCREASE DIGITAL CAMERA RANGE WITH GROUNDBREAKING DIGIMAX V4

Samsung is set to create waves within the high resolution camera market, with the launch of the ground breaking new model, the Digimax V4.

The sleek and compact design of the V4 belies the fact that it is bursting with a range of features, making the V4 one of the most versatile cameras around. A high resolution 4 megapixel CCD produces vivid picture images and renders accurate colour tones.

The Digimax V4 boasts a high quality 3 x zoom Schneider lens (equivalent to 38mm - 113mm in 35mm format). A total 12 x zoom range is possible by using the 4 x digital zoom. Creative picture taking is easily possible by utilising the many manual settings available, such as aperture / shutter priority or fully manual exposure. You can even control focusing yourself. Exposure compensation is also possible allowing the user to change the exposure +/- 2 E.V. in 0.5 stop increments.

Customising your favourite settings is easily performed with the 'My Set' mode. Up to 9 different camera settings including image size, quality and ISO can be stored. This means that users can personalise the V4 and achieve the pictures they want with just one touch of a button.

The Digimax V4 is the only digital camera* in the world to be able to use 9 different power sources. These include AA alkaline, AA lithium, Mi-Nn,CR-V3, as well as rechargeable NI-MH , Ni-Cd, I-pack batteries, and AC Adaptor as well as the dedicated Li-on battery.
