Minox: New 6mpix ultracompact

14:51 EST - For its second announcement at the Photo Marketing Association tradeshow, German camera brand Minox unveiled a new ultracompact digital camera.

The Minox DC 6011 offers six megapixel resolution coupled to a MINOCTAR-branded 3x optical zoom lens. Other features include power from a proprietary Lithium Ion rechargeable battery (which is charged in-camera via a bundled camera docking station), as well as a built-in four mode flash strobe, 2.5" LCD display (but no optical viewfinder), NTSC/PAL and USB connectivity, and an SD card slot. 14:45 EST - Alongside the PMA show in Orlando, German camera company Minox (famous for its sub-miniature "spy" film cameras of days gone by) announced two new digital cameras.

The focus of this news item, the Minox DC 5011 is a compact five megapixel model with a "MINOCTAR"-branded 3x optical zoom lens.
