The Imaging Resource "Link to us" sweepstakes! (No fame, but at least a chance at fortune.)
Do you have a
website? (Personal, public, or corporate, it doesn't matter.) Give us a link,
and we'll put your name in a drawing for a crisp new $100 bill! The rules are
pretty simple, and it'll help us out a lot besides. Here's all you do:
Put a link to Imaging Resource somewhere on your website. Details aren't
critical, but it needs to have the words "digital cameras" or "digital
camera reviews" in the link text someplace. (See below for some HTML that
you can just copy/paste onto your page.)
Email us at
with the following:
A subject line saying "Link Added".
Your name and return email address.
The URL of the page you put the link on.
That's it! We'll put all the names of everyone who's given us a link into a
hat, draw one at the end of the month, and send the winner $100.
One entry per site per month, please, and no links from porn or adult sites.
If you have more than one place you can put a link though, stay tuned, you'll
be eligible to enter as many months as you'd like, with a new page each month!
HTML for some sample links
To make it easy for you, here's HTML code for several possible links that you can just copy/paste into your page. (Feel free to improvise though, the only requirement is that the words "digital cameras" or "digital camera reviews" appear someplace in the link text.)
They say hindsight is 20-20, and that certainly applies to website names. What's in a name? When it comes to Internet search engines, plenty... These days, search engines look at link text (the actual words that you click on) to help them figure out what websites are all about. That's great for some sites, but in our case, most people linking to us tend to say something like "Check out the great digital camera reviews on Imaging Resource." This makes us look *real* relevant to anyone searching for "Imaging Resource", but doesn't do much to let the search engines know that our site is about digital cameras. Hence, this sweepstakes. To balance-out the thousands of links pointing to us that say "Imaging Resource", we need an equally large number that say something about digital cameras or digital camera reviews. (By the way, if you already *have* a link to us that says "Imaging Resource", if you change it to something like the examples below, you'd be eligible to enter our sweepstakes anyway.)
