Phil Askey gives Nikon's D1 upgrade a spin - how does it fare?

Our friends at the Digital Photography Review website have now examined Nikon's D1H digital camera. Phil's verdict?
"Nikon took the already very good D1, fixed several of the issues surrounding it (colour space, pattern noise) added even better image quality, a much more user friendly menu system and text custom functions. They also boosted its continuous shooting speed and added a larger buffer. The D1H is an excellent, extremely well built, well engineered and high image quality digital SLR in its own right, its pricing is competitive and may well attract even the keen amateur. The real question will be deciding between it and the excellent D1x."
The Nikon D1H was first announced in early February, and Phil's is the first review we've seen thus far. For sample images and a whole lot more, hop on over and check it out!
