Steve Sanders tries out the PDR-M71 - will 'Black Magic' have him under its spell?
Our good friend Steve Sanders of the Steve's Digicams website has posted a full review of Toshiba's PDR-M71, a camera we first broke news of back in August. Known in Germany as 'Black Magic', the PDR-M71 features a 3 megapixel CCD, 2.8x optical zoom lens and SmartMedia storage. Steve concludes:
"I think the PDR-M71 will do well against competing three megapixel cameras because of its aggressive pricing and outstanding image quality. Size and weight considered, it's the kind of camera that you don't mind taking along on all-day outings. In automatic mode it is very easy to operate and qualifies as a "no brainer" point-n-shoot that anyone should be able to use. It physically resembles a compact 35mm film camera so those that are new to the digital world will immediately feel comfortable with it. For those users that like playing with knobs and dials, there's plenty of manual camera features to stimulate your creative side."Steve's is the first review we've seen of the PDR-M71, and if you're considering the camera is definitely worth a read - check it out!
