Colorplaza selected by Microsoft on Windows XP

Vevey (Switzerland) - FastLab, a service of Colorplaza Ltd., one of Europe's leading online digital photo-finishers, features among a select group of services to which Windows XP users can send their digital images in order to get real photographic prints.

The new Windows XP operating system features enhanced facilities for the capture, management and sharing of digital images. The opportunity to quickly and easily order high quality photographic prints online will be a central element. Colorplaza's selection as a premier partner to Windows XP in 10 European countries underlines the company's status as one of the leading online photo services in Europe. Within the same agreement, the other service of Colorplaza, Colormailer, is made available to Windows XP users in Switzerland.

Nico Lugt, Managing Director, Marketing for Colorplaza Ltd., said: "We're delighted to work with Microsoft to deliver this service. We remain at the forefront of digital photography offering innovative new products and services. With the launch of Windows XP, Microsoft has clearly demonstrated the importance it places on the digital imaging industry."

Kees Pronk, Group Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft EMEA HQ, added: "Colorplaza shares our commitment to providing customers with access to the latest technology and the highest quality service, and we're delighted to be working together with them to deliver an online photographic ordering capability to our Windows XP users."

The Windows XP operating system makes it easy to order real photographic prints from digital images. Users simply choose the images they wish to print and then launch the On-Line Print Wizard. This guides them through the process step by step, including selecting print sizes for each image and completing delivery and payment details. Images sent through this service are processed using FastLab's high-resolution digital systems and exposed onto high quality photographic paper.

Colorplaza Ltd is an independent company based in Vevey/Switzerland, active in the fields of digital imaging and multimedia Internet application development. The company was founded in Dec. 1999 and has rapidly expanded to become a leader in Europe in the segment of online digital photo finishing with its main service Colormailer.
