Dennis Curtin guides users of Olympus' 5 megapixel prosumer SLR-style digicam towards better photos...

Regular readers will be well familiar with the 'Short Courses' series of books from Dennis Curtin, one of the few products we can wholeheartedly endorse as a must-have for any digicam owner. Dennis' books pick up where your camera manual leaves off, showing you how to obtain the best results - and are essentially a tutorial in basic photographic principles customised to be relevant to a particular camera model. (There's also a "generic" version for users of cameras that aren't covered by a specific book yet...)

Dennis has been in touch to let us know that his latest tome, the "Short Course in Olympus Camedia E-20 Photography", should be arriving from the publisher on Monday, February 3rd. Available as both a color eBook on CD in Acrobat PDF format or a 109 page printed book, this latest Short Course is available for preorder already.

The printed book costs $24.95, the eBook is $19.95, and both can be had together for $34.95. We highly recommend this as a superb value for money - Dennis' book will help you get the most from your E20, and that knowledge will quickly pay for itself in photos you'd otherwise miss.

Check out the Shortcourses site for a general description of the eBooks, or go straight to the Olympus Camedia E-20 guide. Don't have the E20, and your camera isn't one of the many Dennis has specific books for? Look for the brand-agnostic Using Your Camera guide... Finally, you can also find useful free PDF pocket guides for many cameras including the Olympus Camedia E20 on the site.
