DCRP: PowerShot S330 vs. DiMAGE X vs. Coolpix 2500!|
(Wednesday, April 10, 2002 - 13:57 EDT)
Our friends at the Digital Camera Resource Page tackle another head-to-head(-to-head?) review...
He's a brave man, that Jeff Keller. Back in April 2000 he posted a direct comparison of Olympus and Nikon's then-top models, the Camedia C-3030Z and Coolpix 990. This was his second such comparison review, having done much the same thing with the Camedia C-2000Z and Coolpix 950 a year earlier. As he learned back then, the comparisons can provoke a lot of interest in prospective buyers, but equally can result in a flood of irate emails from those who've purchased the runner-up cameras.
After a year's hiatus, Jeff's back to the comparisons again (we hope his email-box is up to the task!) - but this time he's taking it a step further by comparing three cameras; the Canon PowerShot S330 Digital ELPH, Minolta DiMAGE X and Nikon Coolpix 2500. We won't spoil the anticipation by mentioning the winner here, but if you hop on over to the Digital Camera Resource Page you'll find a direct comparison of all three cameras in the following areas:
Phew! As if that's not enough, you'll also find sample galleries for all three cameras, and in many cases comparison images with Canon's EOS D60 SLR digital camera to boot. Check it out!
