Kingston Releases 128-MB MultiMediaCard

The larger 128-MB card joins the previously released 32-MB and 64-MB size cards.

Kingston Technology Company, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of a 128-MB MultiMediaCard. About the size of a postage stamp and weighing less than two grams, MMC is increasingly used as the storage solution in digital media devices.

"Kingston's MultiMediaCards accommodate the growing need of increased storage capacities in a small portable form factor," said Mike Kuppinger, product manager, digital media products, Kingston. "The addition of a 128-MB MultiMediaCard reflects Kingston's commitment to providing quality digital media solutions for our customers," added Kuppinger.

Kingston's MultiMediaCards have a read/write speed of 1.7MB/1.6MB per second. The 128-MB MMC (part number MMC/128) carries a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $116 and a five-year warranty and free technical support.

The MultiMediaCard's small form factor (32mm x 24mm x 1.4mm) and high
capacity allows for increased storage of audio files, digital images, and
data. Kingston's MultiMediaCards have a read/write speed of 1.7MB/1.6MB per
second. MultiMediaCards are used in digital video cameras, mobile phones,
