ACDSee 3.1 and ACDSee Mobile for Windows CE bundled with new Fujitsu Siemens Computers Pocket LOOX PDA

Victoria, British Columbia - September 9, 2002 - ACD Systems International Inc. (TSX:ASA), the digital imaging company, today announced that ACDSee™ 3.1 and ACDSee Mobile for Windows CE will be bundled with the new Fujitsu Siemens Computers' handheld computer, the Pocket LOOX. Pocket LOOX buyers will receive a mobile version of ACDSee as well as a desktop version of the popular image management software for use on their PC system. The agreement also sees the inclusion of the ACDSee brand on the Fujitsu Siemens Computers' Pocket LOOX marketing materials.

This integrated offering is at the forefront of mobile imaging. The Fujitsu Siemens Computers Pocket LOOX PDA, available in Europe as of mid-July, is based on the Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 operating system and delivers a mobile solution that meets the needs of individual and business customers. This small, easy-to-use device is lightweight, has a very long battery life and can be used as a mobile phone. The inclusion of ACDSee enables Pocket LOOX users to view, manage and enhance photos on their handheld Pocket LOOX device. Pocket LOOX buyers will receive both ACDSee Mobile and a desktop version of ACDSee for use on their PC system, thus connecting the desktop and the mobile experience.

The Pocket LOOX with ACDSee will be distributed throughout the growing European marketplace, the Middle East and Africa. According to InfoTrends Research Group, mobile imaging is expected to become a significant driver for digital imaging technologies with Europe and Japan leading the way in the advancement of wireless mobile communications technologies. The use of mobile business applications is expected to have particular success in Europe as users of wireless communications see mobile communications as an affordable way to enhance their conversations with snapshots and video.

Peter Esser, Executive Vice President for Volume Products & Supply Operations of Fujitsu Siemens Computers said, "We wanted to work with ACD Systems because of the company's well respected name and leading-edge digital technology. ACD Systems' comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the European market and their proven success here was also a key factor in this distribution agreement."

Chair & CEO of ACD Systems, Doug Vandekerkhove said, "Fujitsu Siemens Computers is a well-established leading computer company in the European market. The European market is a significant area of revenue generation and recent growth for ACD Systems and this agreement will encourage further distribution of ACDSee in this dynamic digital imaging market - both in desktop and in mobile digital imaging."

This agreement builds on ACD Systems' previous achievements in the mobile space, which included ACD's partnership with Microsoft for the launch of the Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 and the creation of ACDSee Mobile for Palm OS.
