Having received a late-model prototype (apparently very close to production level) C-750 Ultra Zoom from Olympus, I've gone ahead and shot all my standard test photos and updated the review with full conclusions and test results.

The bottom line? Very impressive: The C-750 has really excellent color, plenty of resolution, a lens with lower distortion and artifacts than I'd been expecting from a long-zoom model, and loads of features. The only thing I found to complain about was somewhat higher than average image noise, but that could well be a lingering prototype issue.

If you're interested in long-lens digital photography, the C-750 Ultra Zoom should be near the top of your short list. Check it out!
