PRESS RELEASE: Photoflex 2003 Catalog debuts in print and on cutting-edge CD-ROM


Watsonville, Calif.-Photoflex has just published its new 2003 interactive products catalog in print and on CD-ROM to showcase its lighting products for the photography, digital-imaging, video, and film industries, President Sharon Reeves announced today.

Last year, Photoflex became the first company in its industry to put its product catalog onto a CD-ROM.

Titled "The World's Premier Lighting Company," this year's 40-page catalog presents Photoflex's entire line of products, including softboxes, lights, connectors, reflectors, umbrellas, grids, stands, and carrying cases.

Photoflex's 2003 CD-ROM includes step-by-step instructions for the set-up and assembly of each Photoflex product. It also provides eight free photographic lighting lessons highlighting some practical and creative applications of the products in use. Each lesson includes set-up and results photographs illustrating the features and benefits of the products used to create the lesson.

The CD-ROM also highlights the Web Photo School, an instructional web site that is the only one of its kind in the worldwide digital photography industry. The CD includes links to the Web Photo School web site that includes more than 200 on-line lessons that should appeal to photographers at any level of the profession.

"Unlike our competitors, both our print and CD-ROM marketing materials include many photographs that show the real-world applications of our lighting products," Reeves states, "and how Photoflex can help improve your photographs though innovative and intuitive product design."

All of the company's products are showcased in the new catalog. For the traditional and digital photography industries, products introduced over the past year include MultiDisc(tm) and LitePanel(tm) kits, HalfDome2(tm) and OctoDome3(tm) softboxes, and connectors for products by leading manufacturers. For the video and film industries as well as digital imaging, new products include the FlexDrop2(tm) two-color backdrop, WhiteDome(tm) softbox and Starlite 3200(tm) continuous lighting kits, and connectors for products by prominent manufacturers. In addition, several new Transpac(tm) equipment cases debuted for use with lighting products employed in all of these industries.

Additionally, the CD includes a link to the Photoflex website to learn more about other products, and a link to a quarterly drawing to win $250 of Photoflex products.

Photoflex is now in the midst of an aggressive, eight-week campaign to market the interactive product CD-ROM catalog, with mailings scheduled to reach almost 100,000 current and prospective customers.
