More Fuji digicams coming?

An anonymous tipoff sent us to a Fujifilm website that suggests that at least two more digital camera models are on the way to accompany the Finepix S5000 we told you about yesterday.

If you visit FujifilmMall.com, and search for "S5000" you'll find two accessories listed as compatible with the as-yet unannounced camera. Both the WL-FX9 Wide Angle Lens Attachment Kit (Silver Lens) and TL-FX9 TelePhoto Lens Attachment Kit (Silver Lens) list not only the S5000, but two other models we've not heard of - an S3000 and an S7000.

A further hint as to one of these cameras can be found by searching the Fuji site for "S3000" - it is listed as compatible with a Deluxe Polyester Fitted Soft Case (SC-FX304-W) which also fits the Fuji FinePix 3800, suggesting the S3000 will be closely related to that camera.

There is no further information on the S7000 on the Fuji site, however Google searches turns up a German site listing both the S5000 and S7000 as 3.1 and 6.35 megapixel cameras due to reach the market in August and October respectively. Prices listed on the German site and two US sites for the unannounced cameras are €459 / $499.95 for the S5000, and €725 / $799.95 for the S7000.

Note that all of this is no more than speculation at the moment - it could contain errors or simply have been made up. That said, the existence of the S5000 which is acknowledged on a Fuji site as we reported earlier does lend some credence to the suggestion that the S3000 / S7000 might exist as well.
