On the other hand, sometimes it does, as in the case of Fujifilm's "SR" SuperCCD technology, making its first appearance in their F700 digicam. The F700 is a high-end point & shoot, with Fujifilm's latest CCD technology in it that does an excellent job of holding onto highlight detail and balancing the tonal distribution between highlights and shadows. Also surprisingly(!) fast shutter response, making it a good choice for photos of kids, pets, and sports. Beautiful color too. An easy choice for a "Dave's Pick", although it *is* a little pricey.
