Canon today released Firmware Version 1.1.1 for its EOS Digital Rebel/EOS 300D Digicam. Two issues involving USB communcations are addressed by the update, according to Canon: The reliability of the RemoteCapture application when the camera is used. The reliability of operations with PTP selected as the Communications option for Windows XP and Mac OS X. The revision updates cameras with version 1.0.2 of the firmware.
