PentaSuite 7.0 Simplifies Storing, Viewing and Sending of Files

PORTSMOUTH, NH -- (November 24, 2003) - PentaWare, Inc., today announced the release of PentaSuite 7.0, its new end-to-end file management program. PentaSuite supplies users with a means to open, compress, encrypt, view, upload or download, store and send files. The program seamlessly integrates with email and anti-virus software and makes handling large files easier than ever. The latest release of PentaSuite can be easily customized to fit the needs of a broad base of users.

"We have made significant progress in designing a suite of tools that will greatly ease a companys or individuals ability to manage and distribute digital files," said Claude Ostfeld, President and CEO of PentaWare, Inc. "These new capabilities are helping us create some separation from the simple zip utilities that we used to be compared with."

PentaWare has redesigned the new file management program with a new graphical user interface (GUI) and a host of file management components.

PentaZip provides the backbone in which PentaSuite was built around. A proven compression tool, PentaZip comes with many advanced scripting and scheduling features. You can even create and email self-extracting files, in case your intended user is using a competing zip programs [CHO1] or none at all. PentaSuite supports ZIP64 (64 bit zip format) and compress files at remarkably fast speeds.

PentaDVD is designed for backups, data salvaging, digital photography storage and viewing. Open as many Explorer windows on the left and compile files to store on your right to produce multi-volume compressed archives on CD, DVD or your hard drive. You can even split large files across multiple CD/DVDs. PentaDVD will prompt you to add a new CD/DVD when you fill up one. It supports all major optical media formats currently available (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW) and works with all recent standard models of CD and DVD burners. It even supports" numerous anti-buffer under-run/overrun methods including "burn proof."

PentaBrowser enables users to view images as thumbnails and gives a preview of other file types. PentaWare has added support for digital cameras including the RAW formats of Canon, Casio, FujiFilm, Kodak, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Sony, and many others. They already support over 60 formats including CAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Photoshop. A conversion tool is also available to covert a single file or a batch of files to/from virtually any graphics format including the recently added RAW formats. Users can easily customize the number and style of viewing images. The HTML generator can easily turn images into web pages, photo albums or slide shows.

PentaPGP adds powerful security to archives as well as any other kind of file. Even the most novice user can easily encrypt files sent via email or even create self-decrypting files that decrypt upon receipt of intended user. PentaSuite also supports AES, DES, TripleDES, blowfish, MARS and Serpent. Files can also be digitally signed using PGP.
