Rumor Mill Department: 2GB Memory Sticks coming soon!

Here's a hot flash (no pun intended) from the Flash Memory arena: We've heard that SanDisk will be announcing a 2 Gigabyte (!) Memory Stick PRO tomorrow, here at the CES show, due to ship within a month. On a related note, our "Deep Throat" source also tells us that SanDisk will soon begin manufacturing their own Memory Sticks, rather than rebadging Sony's product, as they do currently. This should lead to a noticeable drop in Memory Stick prices, possibly bringing them more in line with other memory media formats.
