PRESS RELEASE: Concord Camera Corp. Announces Sleek, Stylish 5 Megapixel Camera At $379.99 SRP
Concord 5345z Digital Camera Offers Features for Beginners & Pros
Las Vegas, NV - February 12, 2004 - Concord Camera Corp. ("Concord") (Nasdaq:LENS), a leader in high-quality low-priced digital cameras, today announced at Photo Marketing Association (PMA) the new, ultra stylish Concord 5345z digital camera. Concord's first metal body digital camera offers 5 Megapixels, 3x optical/4x digital zoom (12x total zoom) and rapid response controls. The Concord 5345z beats the competition with a unique combination of options for both advanced and beginner photographers alike, such as 19 scene mode selections, center weighted, spot & multi-pattern metering, auto and preset white balance selections, AVI video, DPOF support along with Concord's popular easy-to-use camera interface. Everyone, from first-time digital camera users to pros, will love the Concord 5345z.
The Concord 5345z is housed in a compact, stylish metal body for the ultimate in design sophistication. Compact at 88 x 60.5 x 32.7mm, the Concord 5345z fits easily into a jeans or shirt pocket. The camera's sensitive controls are designed to react quickly to user commands resulting in effortless picture taking. 19 scene selections make snapping photos easy for first-time users. Just choose from the selections to fit your shooting environment, such as party, night scene, sundown, candlelight, fireworks, etc., and the camera will automatically program the best shutter speed, aperture, and flash setting for your surroundings. The camera also features a continuous shooting mode and is able to snap three shots, one right after the other. AVI video clips can be shot at 15 frames per second in the QVGA mode and the length is only limited by the capacity of the SD card inserted in the camera.
The camera comes with everything needed to take photos right away. It's pre-loaded with 9.7MB of internal memory, so there's never a problem if you forget to bring an SD memory card or run out of space in your cards. The camera will automatically save images to internal memory if no card is inserted. The Concord 5345z also includes two rechargeable NiMH AA batteries, a battery charger and a battery indicator which continuously monitors battery-life on the 1.6" TFT LCD screen, reminding the user when to change batteries.
Advanced photographers will appreciate the power that they get with center weighted, spot and multi-pattern metering for fine-tuning the focus and exposure of shots, as well as user selectable ISO, user selectable White Balance, Exposure Compensation +/- 2 EV in 1/3 EV steps, DPOF support for printing, and a Macro Mode to 10-70cm - all providing the maximum flexibility for shutterbugs wishing more control.
" The Concord 5345z is specially designed to accommodate a fast paced, on-the-go lifestyle," said Mr. Urs W. Stampfli, Senior Vice President and Director of Global Sales & Marketing, Concord Camera Corp. "The Concord 5345z has everything anyone would need in a 5 Megapixel point & shoot digital camera, and more -- at a price that'll excite new users to finally get into digital."
The Concord 5345z is expected to be available in April 2004 at a suggested retail price of $379.99 through Concord retailers and is compatible with Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME, XP and Mac OS 9.0 and higher.
