Olympus: Pictbridge digicam firmware updates By
Michael R. Tomkins, The Imaging Resource (Tuesday, April 6, 2004 - 13:45 EDT)Olympus Japan has released updated firmware for its C-350 ZOOM, D-560 ZOOM, µ[mju:] 300 Digital, µ[mju:] 400 Digital, Stylus 300 Digital, Stylus 400 Digital, C-740 Ultra Zoom and C-750 Ultra Zoom digital cameras.
For the C-350Z and D-560Z digital cameras, the new firmware corrects a problem whereby a malfunction occurs when imprinting the date in your photos and using certain printers. For other cameras, PictBridge is added as a new function.
Note that in certain models, the firmware upgrade will change the language choices available for menus, and the firmware cannot update cannot be regressed once installed.
