PRESS RELEASE: Photomatix Pro Updated to Version 2.0

MultimediaPhoto has released version 2.0 of its dynamic range increase software Photomatix Pro for the Mac OS X platform.

The new version adds the creation of a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image from bracketed shots, an HDR viewer and a Tone Mapping tool.

Photomatix Pro is a stand-alone application that expands the dynamic range of digital photographs or scanned films. It offers 6 methods of exposure blending, an alignment tool for out-of-register images, 16-bit support, and batch processing.

With the new Tone Mapping tool, photographers can now preserve the local contrast and highlights & shadows details of their HDR images. The tool produces results that exposure blending can not achieve when the dynamic range of the scene is particularly high.

Photomatix Pro is priced at US$99.Customers of Photomatix Pro 1.3 can upgrade to v2.0 free of charge. Atrial version is available for download at www.hdrsoft.com.

Version 2.0 will be available for the Windows platform in a later release. For more information, please visit www.hdrsoft.com.
