PowerShot Pro1 - new firmware
By Michael R. Tomkins, The Imaging Resource

Canon Japan has released a new firmware update for its PowerShot Pro1 digital camera, the highest-specification model in the PowerShot series.

The Canon PowerShot Pro1 v1.0.1.0 update improves autofocusing speed, changes how images are displayed in continuous AF mode, and improves responsiveness of the zoom ring.

Detailed instructions for how to apply the firmware update can be found on Canon's website. As always with any firmware update, we caution readers to follow the instructions carefully. When performed properly, firmware updates are usually a painless process, but if done incorrectly they can be an easy way to turn your camera into a very expensive paperweight.
