New KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Series 3 Supports Forthcoming Cameras from Kodak, Konica Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Ricoh and Sanyo

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5 -- Adding to its award-winning line of EASYSHARE printer docks, Eastman Kodak Company today announced the first model to support the IMAGELINK print system, making possible one-touch printing from multiple brands of digital cameras.

The new KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Series 3 will be available worldwide beginning this February, packaged with new KODAK EASYSHARE Z740 and Z700 zoom digital cameras (which are also compatible with the IMAGELINK system). The Printer Dock Series 3 will also ship as a standalone product beginning in May 2005 (US$149 MSRP).

Designed to simplify at-home picture printing, the IMAGELINK system was recently introduced by a group of the world's largest consumer digital photography companies. Consumer digital cameras from Eastman Kodak Company, Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, Inc., Nikon Corporation, Olympus Corporation, Pentax Corporation, Ricoh Co., Ltd. and Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. will provide effortless, one-touch picture printing from snapshot printers that incorporate the IMAGELINK print system, including new KODAK EASYSHARE printer docks.

With the IMAGELINK print system, people place their digital cameras directly on printer docks, and then press a single button to make snapshot-sized pictures in seconds.

"The IMAGELINK print system represents the next evolution in simplifying at-home digital picture printing, building upon the global success of KODAK EASYSHARE printer docks," said Bernard Masson, president, Digital and Film Imaging Systems; and senior vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. "Ultimately, this drives category expansion. Customers win through greater ease of use and higher satisfaction. The industry wins by generating additional excitement around making prints from digital images."

With their combination of one-touch printing, brisk speed, and phenomenal picture quality, KODAK EASYSHARE printer docks have taken the snapshot photo printing market by storm after debuting in 2003, quickly achieving number one market share in the United States and the United Kingdom, according to The NPD Group and GfK. More than one million EASYSHARE printer docks have shipped since Q2 2003.
