PRESS RELEASE: Fujifilm Introduces Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type C And Type PD

More Accurate Color Reproduction, More Brilliant Whites, Improved Highlight Detail and Image Stability

Valhalla, NY, February 14, 2005 - Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of imaging products and services, introduces Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type C, and Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type PD at the PMA 2005 Annual Convention and Trade Show in Orlando, FL.

The new Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type C is the successor to Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Type CDII. This new professional paper provides improved and more accurate color reproduction, brilliant whites, plus improved highlight detail and sharper text quality. The new Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type PD is the successor to Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Type PDII. This new paper features excellent and natural skin tone gradation, brilliant whites and improved highlight details.

New Super Type C and Super Type PD features include:

  • Accurate color reproduction with cleaner uncontaminated colors with higher saturation.
  • More accurate whites plus improved highlight detail.
  • Excellent light storage stability and high image stability, during long-term dark storage, as well as sharply improved stability with respect to nitrogen oxide, ozone and other gasses.
  • Improved latent image stability and tolerance for processing unevenness and pressure-induced density variations, makes this paper easier to handle in the lab.
Technology Advancements
The introduction of this new Crystal Archive Photo Paper represents the latest application of Fujifilm's advanced thin-layer coating manufacturing technology. Originally evolved from its proprietary film-layer engineering, this process requires extreme precision and control and is an area in which few companies are technically competent due to the need for knowledge and expertise gained over long-term, real-life experience with the process. This expertise can also be seen in the development of Fujifilm's FUJITAC cellulose triacetate film for LCD screens, as well as the company's DVD recording media.

Availability
New Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Super Type C and Super Type PD will be shipped to customers on an inventory rollover basis over the next ninety days.

Fujifilm will be showcasing its full portfolio of imaging products and services in its booth #3508 at PMA. For more information, call 800-800-FUJI or go to www.fujifilm.com/pma.
