HP Marketing Corporation, not to be confused with that other HP, Hewlett Packard, was showing off their Gepe Card Safe at both Sneak Peek and the tradeshow.

It's an innovative card holder that's compatible with nearly all memory card shapes without having to change a thing. Just orient the card the right way and it's held securely in a very hard enclosure. The dramatic moment comes when the man showing you the product puts a small light bulb in the enclosure, grabs a rubber mallet, and gives the case a good whack. A little car-salemanish, but heads do turn, and people do jump. Several other Gepe cases offered a smaller profile and more glamorous look, but not all held all card sizes like the Card Safe Extreme-Combi. It even holds small camera batteries, like the Canon NB L1, NB L3, and Olympus LI 12B Li-ion batteries. I especially appreciate that you can turn the card upside down and see the label through the little window.

These are being marketed to marketers, so pricing info wasn't right out front, and I wasn't about to press the guy with the mallet. When I went back later, however, they told me that the price for the smaller Card Safe Mini was $15.00 SRP, and the larger Card Safe Extreme-Combi was $19.95 SRP.

The company also distributes a few interesting accessories that would be great for ebay retailers, like their Kaiser Studio-out-of-the-Box, complete with a sweep and a vertically swivelling camera holder for secure shots. I don't think they sell to consumers, but they can probably refer you to a retailer who can. www.hpmarketingcorp.com
