September 7th, 2005 -- Last season's sold out Just Show Me How Pro tour is back, with new tips, new techniques, and new ideas for your digital photography workflow. World-renowned photographer, author, and teacher, Kevin Ames, will educate and entertain you as he shares the secrets of professional workflow. Kevin is the newest associate of Blue Pixel Digital Experts, leading photographers and consultants committed to teaching digital photography from an unbiased, real world perspective. The tour begins on October 2nd in Miami, and travels to eight U.S. cities through the beginning of December.

This one-day seminar will take professional photographers through what to do with all of those digital files after the photo has been captured. Kevin covers the ins and outs of downloading from memory cards, adding metadata, backing up, image optimization, controlling color, delivering files, and creating bulletproof archives of digital negatives. Attendees will learn how to achieve better results faster through automation, without sacrificing the integrity of their images or the quality of their files. As a highly respected photographer, Photoshop author and instructor, Kevin will also share techniques that are essential to any photographer's creative workflow.

Kevin will show attendees easy ways to:

  • Transfer thousands of pictures quickly from a stack of memory cards
  • View, sort, copy, rename and perform other initial photo selection tasks quickly
  • Edit photos in Photoshop CS2 with a 'best tips and techniques' tutorial, including a special section on retouching portraits
  • Get the most from the Raw format from various cameras
  • Create and distribute photos on the Internet, on Compact Disc, or DVD

  • Produce professional-quality prints
  • Catalog and manage digital files of your photographs so you can easily get to them anytime

About Kevin Ames
Kevin Ames is not only a talented digital photographer, he is also a highly respected expert in workflow and digital asset management. Kevin is a Photoshop World Dream Team instructor, a Software Cinema author and presenter at Dean Collins' Photoshop Training Camp Live! events. He has taught classes at art schools and conferences around the world, including Fotographia Orvieto in Orvieto, Italy, Arthouse in Dublin, Ireland, and The Professional Photographers of Canada National Convention in Calgary, Canada. He is the author of Photoshop CS: the Art of Photographing Women from John Wiley & Sons and writes the "Digital Photographer's Notebook" column for Photoshop User Magazine.
