PRESS RELEASE: Digital Photography Workshop Cruise Will Sail To The Southern Caribbean In March
Attendees Will Receive Up To $800 In Gifts
An 8-day Digital Photography & Imaging Cruise featuring workshops for beginning and intermediate photographers will embark from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on March 1, 2006 aboard one of Carnival's newest superliners, the LEGEND.
The cruise is the sixth of a highly successful series offering instruction in photodigital technologies in a relaxed learning environment. Scheduled ports of call include St. Maarten, Barbados, and Martinique, each with a different cultural heritage.
Attendees can select up to $800 worth of free hardware and software contributed by industry sponsors and may also reserve, at no charge, a new Olympus digital SLR camera valued at more than $1,000 for use during the workshop.
The instruction schedule features digital photography lectures and demonstrations, Photoshop lessons, and picture critiquing of work shot both onboard and ashore. Epson printers will be available for use around-the-clock in the workshop's private, hi-tech conference room. Enrollment is limited to 30 to allow for personalized instruction.
While at sea, participants can upload pictures to a photo-sharing website or send them via email to friends and family anywhere in the world through the ship's state-of-the-art satellite facilities.
Lead instructor for the workshop is Arthur H. Bleich, award-winning photographer, digital photography expert, educator, and Feature Editor of Digital Camera Magazine. Photoshop classes will be taught by Dan Loffler, an internationally known imaging expert. Other professionals will also be on board to teach printing and computer techniques.
Cost of the workshop cruise starts at $1,995 with non-attendee companions paying less than half. Information: (800) 652-2267 or http://www.dpcorner.com/cruise
