Canon Japan yesterday released new firmware for three digital SLR models - the EOS Digital Rebel XT / EOS 350D, EOS 20D, and EOS 20Da.

Version 1.0.3 of firmware for the Rebel XT fixes problems with inability to take shots with the RC-1 remote controller or continued scrolling through images in playback mode. The new firmware for the EOS 20D and closely related EOS 20Da, both now at version 2.0.3, fixes a problem where color temperature information was transmitted incorrectly when using the Speedlite 430EX flash.

All three firmware updates are also said to improve communications reliability with some CompactFlash cards.
