Samsung plans TV-capable digicams

A news item from the website of the Korea Times newspaper reports that local digicam manufacturer Samsung Techwin will begin shipping digital cameras with the ability to receive digital video and audio signals early next year.

Designed for use in its home market, the cameras will offer screens as large as three inches, coupled with battery life of up to three hours. They will be compatible with the Korean terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting system which will launch next month, and compatible cameras are expected to begin shipping early next year.
