Maha Energy Corp., the company behind the PowerEx brandname, has this morning announced a new capacity high for its AA battery lineup - a whopping 2700mAh.

The new batteries are available as a set of four with carrying case for $14.95 from Maha's website. The company notes that it has managed to extend the capacity of the batteries without adverse effect on their useful life - they're said to be good for up to 1000 recharging cycles...
