lensbaby.b.jpg Accessory Review: Lensbaby 2.0

A 50mm equivalent lens on a bellows that can only focus on part of the frame? It's just the thing -- and more often than we thought!

The Lensbaby is a nicely engineered lens on a stiff bellows that can be manipulated with two fingers to change focus within the frame of your scene. Aperture is controlled by changing discs (which look like black washers). The package is neatly boxed with a small Lenspen and greatly enhanced with the macro kit.

For our review we shot with both a Nikon FM2 and a Nikon D70s and we simulate the effect in software for a comparison. Its dramatic results endeared it to us enough that we hate to pack our bag without it.
