Reflections over the Rhine By
Mike Pasini, The Imaging Resource (Saturday, October 14, 2006 - 00:00 EDT)One of our reflections that didn't make it into this story is that just days after Andrew and Shawn put up their 26th YouTube video of Imaging Resource's photokina coverage, Google bought out the concern for 43 times the initial investment. We can't claim quite the same bounce, but we do promise this is our last photokina story . And that ought to be worth something, too.
Rather than our usual trade show wrap-up, we found ourselves taking stock of the industry in general. A few trends are unmistakable, suffering in this pieced only our inarticulate stating of the obvious. Others are more subtle, so we can pretend to be obscurely prescient. The future will deal with us presently.
