DataRescue Updates PhotoRescue
By Mike Pasini, The Imaging Resource

Version 3.0 incorporates both the Expert and Wizard versions, offers Mac users a Universal Binary version and sports and attractive new interface.

DataRescue has released version 3.0 of PhotoRescue, incorporating a new interface, a rewrite of the recovery engine in C++ for faster updates on both Mac and Windows platforms, a Universal Binary version for Intel Macs and incorporation of the Expert and Wizard versions.

Since our initial review of PhotoRescue (which today has been updated with links to the latest demoes), we've tested it against competing products and found it the clear winner.

We were impressed with the kinds of deletions it knew how to handle that killed other utilities. When you accidentally erase the images on your card (and it happens to the best of us), this is the program to have.

Download the latest versions from our initial review.
