mrp-kodak.aio.jpg Kodak AIO Printers Hit Best Buy

They're there, but we had to ask where.

It wasn't easy to find, but as promised, Best Buy this week began selling the Kodak EasyShare 5300 all-in-one printer featuring a low-priced pigment-based ink system.

At the end of an aisle full of camera accessories like flash memory and batteries, facing the back of the store, the Kodak display asked, "think: Are you spending too much on ink?"

Three bright red bullets continued the pitch:

• Is it smarter to save money on an printer or on ink? (Hint: you only buy the printer once.)

• Black Cartridge $9.99, 5-ink Color Cartridge $14.99

• Kodak lab quality prints that last a lifetime.

Below the pitch, a $199.99 5300 printer was on display alongside packages of ink and packs of paper.

Best Buy has an exclusive distribution deal with Kodak for the next three months. But the salesperson who led us to the display confirmed that the 5300 mid-range printer was the only model they had at the moment.
