PRESS RELEASE: AKVIS Noise Buster V.4.0: Noise Suppression for Digital and Scanned Images

June, 2007 - AKVIS LLC announces the release of version 4.0 of AKVIS Noise Buster for Windows and Macintosh. By popular request, the possibility to save user presets has been added. Besides, new to version 4.0: compatibility with Windows Vista, compatibility with Photoshop CS3 on Intel Mac, etc. Macintosh version is now Universal Binary. Upgrade for registered users is free.

Whether you get digital images using a digital camera or a scanner, you may often notice the so-called digital noise. Such images can be improved with noise removal software. The idea is to reach balance between removing noise and keeping fine details on a picture.

AKVIS Noise Buster reduces both luminance and color noise on digital images without spoiling other aspects of the photo. It makes your photos look more sharp and crisp.

The automatic noise filtering usually gives a good result. The program analyses an image and picks up the best settings on its own. If you are not quite satisfied with the result, you can adjust the settings.

Separate setting areas for luminance and color noise allow you to deal with each kind of noise in the most efficient way. For further adjustment you have a few advanced parameters at your disposal.

The program tips help you to achieve the best result. Hovering your mouse over a parameter makes the application display a hint about this setting.

The program offers batch mode that allows improving a series of photos automatically. Batch processing is time saving when you have to correct a number of photos taken with the same camera settings in similar circumstances.

Unlike other noise reducing software which offer limited batch processing for the basic home version and especially for the trial version and allow unlimited batching only for Pro version, AKVIS Noise Buster works without any limitation. It processes so many photos as you wish.

By popular request, the possibility to save user presets has been added. Besides, new to version 4.0: compatibility with Windows Vista, compatibility with Photoshop CS3 on Intel Mac. Macintosh version is now Universal Binary; it works equally well on both PPC- and Intel-Macs (without the Rosetta emulator).

AKVIS Noise Buster plug-in is compatible with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel Photo-Paint, Painter and Paint Shop pro, Ulead Photo-Impact, etc. The software runs on Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X.

The registered users can upgrade the software free of charge. The users who tried the previous version of the plugin and have their version expired, now have an opportunity to test the software again. Download the program at http://akvis.com/en/noise-buster/download-reduce-noise.php

AKVIS Noise Buster sells for $49 USD. One license key allows activating the software on two computers, for example, on a desktop and on a laptop.
Photo Correction Bundle (AKVIS Noise Buster + detail-revealing software AKVIS Enhancer) sells for $83. By purchasing this bundle, you'll save $35.
AKVIS Alchemy Bundle (a bundle of 10 photo correction and restoration plug-ins, including Noise Buster) sells for $325 USD, a savings of $387 over purchasing each separately.

AKVIS LLC was founded in 2004 and since then has released several successful software plug-ins for digital image processing. With a corporate philosophy focusing on finding new ways to spur creative thought, AKVIS LLC designs intuitive software tools for creative self-expression.
