Quatro(R) 4301 and 4302 Processor Platforms Available for OEMs Building Inkjet All-in-One and Direct-Connect Photo Printers

Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN) announced the availability of its highly integrated Quatro® 4301 and 4302 processors, which deliver improved performance and advanced features for inkjet all-in-one and direct-connect photo printers.

The Quatro® 4301 and 4302 processors are the industry's most highly integrated solutions, with an unmatched set of analog interfaces for controlling mechanisms, driving displays and providing connectivity. TheQuatro 4301 and 4302 processors offer original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) the ability to build products that perform at faster speeds and with advanced capabilities. These processors harness a powerful ARM9(TM) CPU core to support differentiating features, such as a sophisticated user interface with color LCD touch panel, and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi® and Ethernet networking. The CPU core is paired with a Quatro® DSP core to support fast and high-quality image processing in the copy, scan and photo printing functions. Other advanced features include the ability to connect to a television or a hard disk.

"IDC expects the inkjet all-in-one and photo printer market to continue to be very competitive. Users will continue to demand that these products offer improved performance and features while maintaining aggressive pricepoints," said Keith Kmetz, vice president of Hardcopy Peripherals Solutions and Services at IDC. "The highly integrated, high performance Quatro 4301 and 4302 processors can help OEMs meet this requirement."

"In 2007 Zoran shipped more Quatro chips for inkjet devices than all our direct competitors' solutions combined. The availability of Zoran's newest processors will further build on that success by offering integration and performance that is ideal for inkjet products with differentiated features," said Simon Dolan, senior vice president and general manager, Zoran's Imaging Division. "We're proud to offer our customers the industry's most highly integrated solutions and to empower them to develop uniquely featured products and bring them to market quickly at a lower system cost."

The Quatro® 4301 and 4302 processors are offered in several configurations including two package options and two processor frequency options to enable OEMs to develop for various segments of the inkjet printer market, from base-feature photo printers to full-featured all-in-one devices. Zoran also offers a complete development platform that includes a development board and all-in-one and photo printer firmware. In addition, because Zoran's line of Quatro® processors share the same architecture, OEMs can easily leverage their previous hardware and firmware development of other Quatro® processors to compress development schedules and reduce cost.

The Quatro® 4301 and 4302 processors are now available in sample quantities to qualified Zoran customers. For more information, please visit www.zoran.com or contact a Zoran sales representative at 781.791.6000.
