Highlights of the new release include GPU coding for higher performance and Flash user interface elements for user customization.

The wraps are off Adobe Creative Suite 4 and we've got a lot to say about it in our miniphotokina preview. We were among a group of reviewers and analysts who attended a CS4 boot camp for two days in July and we've been using a beta version of the Master Collection since August.

The funny thing about this preview is that we ran the pre-release version on a substandard system after our Mac Pro boot camp experience. So we're painfully aware of the new system requirements and the performance enhancements a supported GPU provides.

And still, we prefer the new version with its improved interface featuring an application frame and self-adjusting panels. Adobe has paid attention to the details while revamping the infrastructure in this release.

Especially noteworthy are the changes to Bridge and the new non-modal features of Photoshop. Read our miniphotokina review for the big picture.
