Use an iPhone or iPod touch to view your my Picturetown albums.
Nikon has announced it will release a dedicated iPhone application developed by Nikon for accessing and using my Picturetown, the company's photo storage and sharing site. This application, which runs on the iPhone and iPod touch, will be available free of charge for download from Apple's iTunes App Store, Nikon said.
Nikon's iPhone application offers a new image browsing environment for both the iPhone and iPod touch devices running firmware version 2.2.
My Picturetown, developed as a service to allow photographers to enjoy their photos anywhere and anytime, allows for the upload of photos from cameras or computers as well as browsing and viewing uploaded photos from computers and cellphones.
The new iPhone app allows uploading photos taken by the iPhone and viewing my Picturetown photos the user has uploaded either individually or by album on either the iPhone or iPod touch. The iPod touch does not include a camera.
my Picturetown members can also perform a number of operations using the iPhone touch panel, including moving photos and rotating photo display by rotating the iPhone itself.
