San Francisco - January 22, 2009 - liveBooks, Inc. (www.livebooks.com), the leading provider of customized portfolio websites and marketing software for professional photographers, recently launched an interview with internationally renowned photographer Harry Benson, CBE, for the fifth episode of its "Photographers in Focus" video series.

Benson, who is originally from Scotland, followed the Beatles to America in 1964 and decided to stay to continue with his photography career. Photographing everyone from U.S. presidents to Martin Luther King Jr., Benson has made his mark on the photo community.

Having spent 30 years shooting images for LIFE magazine, he has also won numerous awards including the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Scottish Press Photographers' Association, the 2005 American Photo Magazine Award for Achievement in Photography and the LUCIE Award for Lifetime Achievement in Portrait Photography. From celebrities to politicians, he's photographed everyone from Elizabeth Taylor, following her brain surgery, to Hillary and Bill Clinton, embracing his presidential inauguration in 1992. Most recently, Benson was honored with a CBE, or Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for his services to photography and to the community by the Queen of England.

"Interviewing Harry Benson for our latest installment was a humbling experience," said Andy Patrick, president and CEO of liveBooks. "Benson has led the life many photographers aspire to live. His expansive library of images from celebrities, politicians and editorial images demonstrate his ongoing commitment to capturing his subjects with a view of truth and honesty, and sharing them with the world."

Every month the series provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look into a featured photographer's personality, inspiration and individual story. Most often, the world only "knows" photographers through the images they produce or the products they endorse. The Photographers in Focus series was created to capture each interview subject's essence - their personal vision, inspiration and beliefs - and enrich the photo community by providing a means for one photographer to share his or her knowledge with others.

The 12-part series has captured interviews with distinguished photographers such as Colin Finlay, Christopher Griffith, Gray Scott and Michael Jang. Together the featured photographers work in an assortment of industries such as photojournalism, advertising, high-end fashion, automotive, beauty and portraits.

All the interviews from the Photographers in Focus series - including Harry Benson's interview - can be found on the liveBooks website showcased at http://www.livebooks.com/community/interviews/benson/index.php .
