March 17, 2009 -- The TrekPod GO! PRO is a photographer’s multi-tool that goes from monopod to tripod in seconds, and can even be used as a hiking staff. The product includes Trek-Tech’s patented MagMount™ system, a quick-release mounting system which attaches a camera to our new PRO ball head, using a solid magnetic connection. The TrekPod Go! fits in carry-on luggage and comes with a carrying case.

“The TrekPod GO! PRO is a multi-tool for photographers on the go,” said Jim Clark, CEO of Trek-Tech. “It offers photographers the capability to do more and carry less. Because of its size and footprint, it can get into places large tripods can’t go, like soccer games and museums. It also takes you outdoors and travels easily.”

The TrekPod GO! PRO is lightweight, weighing just 28 ounces and comes complete with the MagMount PRO quick release ball head system. The MagMount PRO ball head is rated for cameras up to 13.5 lbs. and utilizes, Square Tooth Anti Rotation (STAR) technology, which prevents the camera from rotating or sagging portrait position. The TrekPod GO! PRO can be used as a rugged hiking staff, and quickly converts to a monopod or tripod in seconds. In tripod mode, the TrekPod GO! PRO ranges from 39” to 57.5”; in monopod/hiking staff mode it ranges from 42.5”-62.5”. When packed in its included case, the Trek-Pod GO! PRO will fit into carry-on luggage, at 23 x 4 x 2.5 inches.
