Taiwan's BenQ Corp. saw digital camera sales rise to an all-time high in China last month, according to IT daily DigiTimes.
The company's sales of over 50,000 digicam units last month were achieved courtesy of sales promotions taking advantage of government subsidies in smaller cities. BenQ took a 2% share of the total digicam market in China last year, which places it tenth overall. BenQ plans to increase this to a 3.5% share in the first half of 2009, and 5% for the second half of the year.
