Aurora Quick Fix Features Powerful Relight Editing Tool

PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Light Crafts today announced the introduction of Aurora Quick Fix, free powerfully simple photo editing, sharing and publishing software designed for consumers who are looking to quickly edit photos and share them online. Aurora Quick Fix is available immediately at www.lightcrafts.com and is free to download for Mac and PC. It joins a family of powerful and easy-to-use photo editing products offered by Light Crafts, including Aurora and LightZone, that meet the diverse needs of people who are passionate about getting great photos.

Aurora Quick Fix offers consumers a powerful and intelligent Relight tool, which essentially "turns on" the light inside the image, creating a better, more realistic photo. The Relight tool is powered by a sophisticated algorithm, and a pop-up image selector lets users see a range of improvements and pick exactly the edit they'd like to make simply by clicking on the desired improved image. Aurora Quick Fix also includes a Crop & Straighten tool and tools to help organize photos. The file sizes of images edited in Aurora Quick Fix are optimized for online sharing, making file uploading extremely quick and easy. Publishing tools enable users to email photos directly from Aurora Quick Fix to friends and family or to sync the software with their online accounts on Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, Picasa, Shutterfly, and TwentyThree.

"Our decision to introduce Aurora Quick Fix was guided by the incredibly positive feedback about Aurora we received in the first 100 days after the product launched," said Fabio Riccardi, founder of Light Crafts. "Our customers have been thrilled with the incredible photo editing results possible in Aurora, how intuitive it is to use, and of course they love that the software is so affordable. Through discussions with our customers, we discovered an opportunity to deliver a solution for the 'social consumer' who wants a powerful, free tool to quickly edit and share photos online. Aurora Quick Fix is a logical extension to our family of products that reflect our philosophy of offering a powerfully simple approach to bring out the natural beauty in your images."

Aurora Quick Fix users can easily upgrade their free software to Aurora, Light Crafts' powerful and affordable photo editing, organizing, sharing, and storing software available for $19.95. In just a few clicks, Aurora users can Relight, Retouch, add Punch for color contrast, adjust color strength and warmth, tint, crop, straighten, zoom and adjust red-eye in a simple, intuitive and visual way. Aurora also includes sophisticated tools for organizing, publishing and sharing photos. The software is non-destructive as edited images are saved as a new file. Edited photos are saved at their original size and resolution.
