Las Vegas, NV.- January 7, 2010- Vivitar, a leading brand of digital cameras and photographic accessories for over 70 years, showcases at CES 2010 with a highly anticipated collection of digital products and accessories. The new line of battery chargers offer quality and convenience at an accessible price.

Vivitar battery chargers extend battery life to enable the maximum use of cameras. The new products, available now, fully charge AA or AAA batteries and have LED lights that illuminate while charging. Each model is 100% memory free, and makes battery life last up to 4x longer than regular batteries, charging up to 1000x. Chargers are specially engineered for high drain devices and incorporate NiMH technology. The BC-161 charges 1 or 2 batteries at a time in 16 hours and is offered at an SRP of $9.99. The BC-181 charges 2 or 4 batteries in 16 hours with an SRP of $14.99. The BC-391 completely charges 2 or 4 batteries in just 2 hours and is available for an SRP of $19.99.

The Vivitar BC-491 also fully charges AA or AAA batteries up to 1000x, enables battery life to last up to 4x longer and is 100% memory free. This model is specifically designed with an electric blue LCD display screen that shows the status of charge and fully charges batteries in 1 hour. BC-491 is powered by the supplied switching mode 100-240V with an AC adapter for indoor use or by the supplied DC car adaptor for use in a vehicle. It is available for an SRP of $29.99.

A Vivitar BC-ALK is also available to recharge Alkaline batteries. The device charges 1 to 4 alkaline batteries up to 80x. Pricing information is not yet available. The new line of chargers joins the existing line of Vivitar Lithium Ion battery chargers.

Located in Central Hall, booth #9841, Vivitar is taking appointments on Thursday, January 7th from 10AM-6PM and Friday, January 8th from 9AM-4PM at CES, the largest consumer electronics show in the world in Las Vegas, taking place from January 7-10, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
