Olympus has today released updated firmware for its E-P1 Micro Four Thirds digital camera.

The update brings the Olympus P1 camera body to firmware version 1.3, and includes all changes made in the previous v1.1 and v1.2 releases. The new E-P1 v1.3 firmware update is said to resolve an issue where the level gauge stopped functioning when the camera was set to use manual focusing. Previous updates improved continuous autofocus performance, reduced the MF Assist display time, and enabled record view when the LCD backlight was disabled.

Information on how to update to the latest firmware version for the Olympus E-P1 body is available from the Olympus Japan website.
