Fujifilm has published updated firmware for several of its recently announced long-zoom digital camera models.

Cameras for which the company has newly issued firmware include the FinePix S1600, S1770, S1800, S1880, S2500HD and S2600HD. Two changes apply to operation of all six camera models. Color reproduction is said to be better in live view and movie recording. The live view and HD movie recording functions have also been adjusted, so that the aspect ratio better matches the camera's LCD and HDTV displays respectively. For the S2500HD and S2600HD only, the aspect ratio has also been adjusted for outputting HD movies through the camera's HDMI port.

More details as well as instructions on upgrading can be found on the Fujifilm global website.
