Phase One Capture One v5.1.1 is available for download immediately in standard, DB and PRO versions, and is the second update to the latest generation of the program which debuted last October. Compared to the standard version, the DB and PRO versions add support for digital backs, tethered shooting, and a variety of other features intended for use in professional photographers' workflows.
Newly supported cameras in Capture One 5.1.1 include the Canon EOS Rebel T2i (aka Canon EOS 550D), the Mamiya DM40, and the Leaf Aptus II 8 (for which preliminary support was offered starting with Capture One 5.1).
As well as a variety of bug fixes, Capture One v5.1.1 now has presets for base characteristics, and several improvements for users of Sony DSLRs and Leaf camera backs. For the Sony Alpha A500, A550, A850, and A900, noise performance is said to have been improved. All four cameras plus the Sony Alpha A700 also now have more accurate color profiles. Leaf shooters will find that the orientation and white balance can now be set when shooting over a tether, Leaf MOS develop curves are now supported, and default film curves have been improved.
More details along with a list of known issued in Capture One 5.1.1 can be found in the release notes for the new version.
